Ask Salvation Army for help during holidays
The Salvation Army is accepting applications from families needing assistance during its holiday giving programs.
Families in need with children under 14 and senior citizens are helped through various giving programs such as the Angel Tree Program. The program allows the public to help families by adopting an "angel" tag that hangs from Christmas trees.
Angel Trees are placed in malls statewide. Each "angel" tag corresponds to a recipient’s special wish for the holidays.
Families in need can schedule an appointment by calling Kauluwela Mission Corps, 296 N. Vineyard Blvd., 521-6551; Kaneohe Corps, 45-175 Waikalua Road, 235-1408; or Kroc Center, 91-3257 Kualakai Parkway, Ewa Beach, 682-5505.
