Visitor industry ‘standing by’ as storm menaces East Coast

Associated Press Hurricane Sandy was about 335 miles southeast of Charleston, S.C., early Saturday, and is projected to hit the Atlantic Coast early Tuesday. The tourism industry in Hawaii, from hotels to airlines, says it is ready to accommodate visitors who could be stranded if the hurricane wreaks havoc on the East Coast.
