A 24-year-old former Schofield Barracks soldier remained under investigation for allegedly making a telephone threat last week that put the Army base on lockdown for five hours.
A preliminary hearing for Obrien McChriston will be held Wednesday on a separate case for allegedly terrorizing four people Sept. 16 at a Kalaeloa home.
Police said McChriston got into an argument with a woman and then threatened a 23-year-old man with a knife. The man left the home, but McChriston didn’t allow three women — ages 24, 25 and 26 — to leave. Police said he allegedly threatened the women with a knife and a hammer.
Civilian authorities charged him with three counts of kidnapping and four counts of first-degree terroristic threatening. His bail was set at $50,000.
On Thursday, McChriston allegedly called a gate guard and said he would come onto Schofield and kill soldiers, police said.
The threatening call was placed at 10:18 a.m.
Police arrested him at about 3:15 p.m. behind Mendoca Park in Wahiawa, the Army said.
The Wahiawa base was locked down, including Solomon Elementary and Hale Kula Elementary schools, while Army authorities searched for McChriston.
The Army said McChriston was involuntarily discharged in June 2011.
