Get ready for tonight’s episode of "Top Chef: Seattle," which takes 15 chefs — including Maui’s Sheldon Simeon — to the city to start official competition for the title. The show airs at 8 p.m. on Bravo, with a repeat at 10.
Last week, six chefs were weeded out as they cooked for star chefs Tom Colicchio, Wolfgang Puck, Emeril Lagasse and Hugh Acheson.
Simeon, executive chef of Star Noodle in Lahaina, created Fried Brussels Sprout Salad with Orange Thai Vinaigrette salad for Acheson, which earned him a Top Chef coat. Gina Keatley failed to make Acheson’s cut.
Lagasse had his competitors cook up soup. In the end, he eliminated Stephanie Cmar and Tina Bourbeau. Colicchio’s group actually worked in his Craft Restaurant kitchen, and at the end of the night, he dismissed Anthony Gray and Jorel Pierce. Puck challenged his chefs to make the perfect omelet. Daniel O’Brien’s greasy version meant a ticket home.
Tonight, a twist adds extra challenge to the competition as Seattle chef and restaurateur Tom Douglas joins Lagasse, Colicchio, judge Gail Simmons and host Padma Lakshmi.
