Nothing like a Thanksgiving homecoming, but for island-born actress Janel Parrish, a guest role on CBS’ "Hawaii Five-0" is the cherry on the cake.
Parrish, 24, is elated about landing a role as a troubled chemistry student in an episode airing next year. "My parents and my sister are coming over as well. … I’m excited to film again in the islands," she said in an email. "It’s a great opportunity to see family and work at the same time."
You may remember her as Young Cossette in "Les Miserables" at Blaisdell Concert Hall years ago. Parrish has come a long way since, appearing on "Heroes" and "The O.C.," and was one of the dolls in "Bratz: The Movie." She’s still playing Mona Vanderwall on ABC Family’s "Pretty Little Liars," starting up again Jan. 8. …
The secret’s also out: Behati Prinsloo, the 23-year-old model and girlfriend of Adam Levine (the Maroon 5 singer and judge on NBC’s "The Voice"), is also a "H50" guest, on the Dec. 3 episode. The Victoria’s Secret model will strut on the lingerie company’s fashion show Dec. 4on CBS. …

Exactly where has not been divulged, though local film commissioners confirmed the blockbuster franchise based on the Suzanne Collins books will aim cameras here.
The North Shore is the most likely destination as the show has blocked out a number of rooms at Turtle Bay Resort.Expect to see stars Jennifer Lawrence (Katniss Everdeen), Josh Hutcherson (Peeta Mellark) and Liam Hemsworth (Gale Hawthorne) hopping from one site to another. …

BEWITCHING: "Wicked," the Tony-winning Broadway spectacle, opens Thursday at Blaisdell Concert Hall. The touring company will be in residency through Jan. 16, with performances daily and two shows Saturdays and Sundays. This, of course, is the prequel to the "Wizard of Oz" classic, revealing how two girls in the land of Oz — one with emerald-green skin who is smart and misunderstood, the other beautiful and ambitious — grow up to become the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good. Cliffton Hall, a former Ron Bright student, plays Fiyero — the lone local in the cast.
"Wicked" remains one of Broadway’s enduring and endearing blockbusters despite its occasionally dark spirit, perhaps second only to "The Book of Mormon," the profane hot ticket on the Great White Way. …
ROAR WARRIOR: Comedian Frank De Lima, back home after a couple of mainland gigs with Augie T, Andy Bumatai and Mel Cabang, packed his self-styled "diet food," 20 pounds of frozen cooked chicken. With a cooler and dry ice and hotel fridges and microwaves, he consumed chicken during the day, combined with gym treks, and mostly bread and wine at night. He put on a few pounds, but swimming and his island school tour have helped shed the weight. …
De Lima was one of the folks at the "Perry & Price Show" at the Jade Dynasty restaurant when the Friends of Honolulu City Lights made a visit to promote "Honolulu City Lights," opening Dec. 1 for a holiday run at City Hall. De Lima will appear on the Sky Gate stage again this year, but the P&P audience got a sweettreat: Keola Beamer, composer of the "Honolulu City Lights" tune, was on hand to perform the song live. ‘Tis the season. …
FINALLY: Jason Momoa is one of the hunks in People’s current Sexiest Man Alive edition featuring winner Channing Tatum. …
And that’s "Show Biz." …
