High-surf warning issued for east shores
The National Weather Service on Monday issued a high-surf advisory from 6 a.m. today to 6 a.m. Wednesday for east-facing shores of all islands.
A north swell combined with breezy tradewinds will cause very rough surf, the Weather Service said.
Along with rough and choppy surf, strong rip currents are expected.
Beachgoers are urged to stay out of the water and away from the shorebreak.
Surf heights are expected to reach 6 to 10 feet.
