>> UNLV linebacker John Lotulelei (Baldwin ’09) had seven tackles and two quarterback hurries, and defensive back Peni Vea (Kealakehe ’11) had four solo tackles and broke up a pass in a 48-10 loss to Hawaii at Aloha Stadium on Saturday. Lotulelei finished his senior season with 120 tackles.

>> Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te’o (Punahou ’09) had five tackles and an interception, and Robby Toma (Punahou ’09) had two catches for 34 yards in Notre Dame’s 22-13 win over Southern California to finish off a 12-0 regular season and earn a berth in the BCS National Championship game.

>> Brigham Young tight end Kaneakua Friel (Kamehameha ’07) had two catches for 30 yards in a
50-14 win over New Mexico State on Saturday. Quarterback Andrew Manley (Leilehua ’10) was 13-for-24 for 158 yards and two touchdowns, and linebacker B.J. Adolpho (Kahuku ’05) had six tackles for the Aggies.

>> Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota (Saint Louis ’11) was 17-for-24 for 140 yards and a touchdown and ran for 85 yards — including a 42-yard TD — in a 48-24 win over Oregon State on Saturday. Freshman DeForest Buckner (Punahou ’12) assisted on two tackles for the Ducks, while Castro Masaniai (Waipahu ’07) had a solo tackle for the Beavers.

>> Utah linebacker V.J. Fehoko (Farrington ’10) had seven tackles and a sack in a 42-35 win over Colorado on Saturday. Defensive lineman Juda Parker (Saint Louis ’11) had two tackles and a quarterback hurry for the Buffaloes.

>> Washington State linebacker Cyrus Coen (Pearl City ’11) had five tackles, Chester Sua (Kaimuki ’11) had three and Taylor Taliulu (Kamehameha ’12) made one solo tackle in a 31-28 overtime win over Washington on Saturday.

>> Wyoming freshman linebacker Siaosi Hala‘api‘api (Kaimuki ’12) had a game-high 12 tackles and forced a fumble in a 42-28 loss to San Diego State on Saturday.

>> Eastern Michigan senior Bryan Pali (Kamehameha-Maui ’08) made 11 tackles in a 49-7 loss to Northern Illinois on Friday.

>> Utah State safety Brian Suite (Punahou ’10) assisted on three tackles and Elvis Kamana-Matagi (King Kekaulike ’10) assisted on one in a 45-9 win over Idaho on Saturday. Linebacker Robert Siavii (Leilehua ’08) had four tackles — including one for loss — and defensive back Solomon Dixon (McKinley ’11) had two solo tackles — including one for loss — and an interception for the Vandals.

>> Washington (Mo.) junior cornerback Andrew Skalman (‘Iolani ’10) was named to the All-University Athletic Association first team last Wednesday. Skalman started all 10 games for the Bears and led the team with five interceptions and 19 passes defended — which was tops in the conference.

>> Southern Oregon receiver Justin Otaguro (Roosevelt ’08) had four catches for 60 yards in a 47-44 loss to Morningside College on Saturday in the quarterfinals of the NAIA championships.

MEN’S SOCCER

>> Louisville senior defender Brock Granger (’Iolani ’09) played all 90 minutes of a 2-1 win over Northwestern on Sunday to help the Cardinals advance to the quarterfinals of the NCAA tournament.

WOMEN’S SOCCER

>> Penn State junior Tani Costa (Kalani ’09) played 35 minutes off the bench in a 1-0 win over Duke as the Nittany Lions advanced to their first NCAA College Cup since 2005.

>> UCLA sophomore forward Caprice Dydasco (Kamehameha ’11) attempted one shot and played all 90 minutes in a 2-1 loss to Stanford in the quarterfinals of the NCAA tournament on Friday.

>> Southwestern (Texas) senior goalkeeper Sarah Nonaka (Punahou ’09) was named second-team All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference on Tuesday. Nonaka set school records for career saves and shutouts this season. She played in 19 games, allowing 29 goals for a 1.88 goals-against average. She had 82 saves and a .739 save percentage.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

>> Washington State freshman guard Lia Galdeira (Konawaena ’12) had a team-high 15 points, five rebounds, two assists and a steal in a 67-52 win over Brigham Young on Saturday. BYU freshman Kylie Maeda (‘Iolani ’12) finished with six points, a rebound and an assist in 10 minutes off the bench.

>> Cal State Northridge senior Violet Alama (Kalani ’09) had 11 points, four rebounds and an assist in an 85-73 loss to Penn State in the final game of the Thanksgiving Classic on Saturday.

>> Indiana forward Milika Taufa (Lahainaluna ’10) had four points, eight rebounds and a block to help the Hoosiers defeat IPFW 64-47 on Monday for their fifth straight win.

>> Utah senior Iwalani Rodrigues (Kalani ’08) had five points, five rebounds, three assists and a steal in a 73-47 win over Weber State on Saturday.

>> Concordia (Calif.) sophomore Bashalei Almadova (Sacred Hearts ’11) had seven points, two assists and two rebounds in 16 minutes off the bench in an 86-57 loss to Cal Baptist on Saturday.

>> Pacific (Ore.) forward Anuhea Wall (Konawaena ’11) finished with eight points, four rebounds and three assists in 18 minutes off the bench of an 83-33 win over Walla Walla (Wash.) on Sunday.

>> Willamette (Ore.) sophomore guard Julia Brand (Punahou ’11) had a team-high 14 points, eight rebounds and two steals, and Daena Mau (Punahou ’11) had four points and four rebounds in a 65-54 loss to New Hope Christian on Saturday.
