Meetings will be held:

» 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday in the Mililani Middle School cafeteria.
» 6:30-8:30 p.m. Jan. 14 in the Castle High School cafeteria.
Registration starts 30 minutes before each meeting.
Public hearings by the Honolulu Planning Commission and Honolulu City Council on the proposed changes are expected to be held later next year. Comments can be submitted until April 15.

No-contest plea in school clash
A 19-year-old Hilo man will not dispute charges that he threatened security officers at Kamehameha Schools’ Hawaii island campus last year.
The Hawaii Tribune-Herald reports that Jeremy Costa pleaded no contest Wednesday to first- and second-degree terroristic threatening, second-degree burglary and two counts of custodial interference in a deal with prosecutors. Sentencing has been set for Jan. 30.
Costa, who was expelled from Kamehameha, tried to enter the school’s Keaau campus twice in October 2011.
On Oct. 24 he was reportedly intercepted by security and turned away. That night, he posted threats on Facebook aimed at school security, including "rent a cops must die." The posts also referred to the 2007 Virginia Tech campus massacre.
He was also arrested the next morning at the corner of Kilauea Avenue and Haihai Street while trying to hitch a ride to the school. He was dressed in a school uniform shirt and was carrying books. Police said when confronted by officers, Costa tore off the shirt and challenged them to fight.
His lawyer said his behavior has improved since he began taking medication.
