Volunteers sought for Honolulu Festival
The 19th Annual Honolulu Festival is looking for volunteers to assist with the events and exhibits showcasing the cultural arts and people of the Pacific Rim and Hawaii, March 1-3.
The festival will offer cultural performances at the Hawai‘i Convention Center, Waikiki Beach Walk and DFS Galleria.
On March 3 the "Honolulu Rainbow Ekiden" relay race will be held in Waikiki, followed by the Grand Parade down Kalakaua Avenue.
Volunteer opportunities include coordinating with visiting school groups, providing event schedules and information to visitors, and selling festival logo goods. Volunteers are also needed to help build and march the Daijayama (fire-breathing dragon) float in the parade, and to work at the Ennichi Corner at the convention center, a children’s activity area.
To sign up or for more information, visit the "volunteer" section of the Honolulu Festival’s website at www.honolulufestival.com.
