Cause of death of fetus is deferred by medical examiner
The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office on Friday deferred the determination of cause of death of a fetus found in an Aiea park Thursday morning, pending further examination and investigation.
Police said the fetus was in a box found by a man collecting recyclable materials at Napuanani Park at 7:30 a.m. Thursday. The man discovered the fetus when he opened the box at home.
Police said there were no signs of foul play.
