Resident held in threat, shooting of dog
An 81-year-old Pearl City man was arrested at his home Saturday morning after threatening three youths hunting in a ravine behind his home and shooting their dog, police said.
The suspect was arrested at 10:45 a.m., about three hours after the incident, on suspicion of first-degree animal cruelty, three counts of first-degree terroristic threatening, first-degree reckless endangering and failing to safely keep a loaded firearm.
Theft of items from vehicle brings arrest
Police arrested a 43-year-old Mililani man Saturday afternoon after he allegedly stole items from a vehicle at Keehi Lagoon Park and was found in possession of a dangerous weapon.
He was arrested just after the incident at 3:55 p.m. on suspicion of first-degree unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle, two counts of ownership/possession of a prohibited firearm, resisting arrest, contempt, third-degree promotion of a dangerous drug and possessing drug paraphernalia.
