Spring into action with the Star-Advertiser Today section, which is planning four special calendars. To list your event, email a description, dates, time, address, cost, sponsor’s name and public contact information to features@staradvertiser.com.
>> The Easter Fun Guide will be published March 19, featuring egg hunts, Easter bunny photo ops, craft workshops, keiki activities, and other Easter- or spring-themed events (no church services, please). Deadline: Wednesday.
>> Spring Craft Fairs will appear March 26. Deadline: March 20.
>> The Garden & Flower Calendar will blossom April 8, listing flower, garden and orchid shows, major plant sales and other garden-related events. Deadline: April 3.
>> The Obon calendar will be published May 26, with listings for obon festivals statewide. Deadline: May 21.
Red Cross classes

» Adult and pediatric first aid and CPR/AED: 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and March 19 and 24, and 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 28. Online/classroom blended learning course, noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday. Cost: $110.
» Baby sitter’s training: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday. Designed to teach youths ages 11 and older responsibilities such as diapering, feeding and emergency first aid. Cost: $85.
» Cat and dog first aid: 2:30 to 6:45 p.m. March 23. Cost: $70.
» Adult CPR/AED: Online/ classroom blended learning course, 5 to 6:30 p.m. Monday. Cost: $70.
» CPR/AED for professional rescuers and health care providers: 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. Online/classroom blended learning course, 8:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday. Cost: $110.
» First aid, CPR, AED instructor course: 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. March 24. Three-hour online course (cost included in price) and provider-level course in adult and pediatric first aid, CPR/AED (separate cost of $110) must be taken prior to this class. Cost: $500. Before registering call 456-0431.
» Pediatric first aid and CPR/AED: 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. March 21. Cost: $90.
» Standard first aid: Online/classroom blended learning course, 5 to 6 p.m. March 27. Cost: $70.
» Standard first aid with adult CPR/AED: 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday and March 20, 23 and 26; and 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. March 30. Online/classroom blended learning course, noon to 1:15 p.m. Wednesday and 5 to 6:45 p.m. Monday and March 27. Cost: $90.
