Maui condo prices jumped 27% in February
More luxury condominium buyers were active on Maui last month and helped boost sales and median prices, said a report released Tuesday.
The Realtors Association of Maui said the number of condo sales on the Valley Isle rose 20 percent to 100 in February from 83 in the same month last year. The median price jumped 27 percent to $364,950 from $287,000 in the same period a year ago.
Gains were driven in part by sales in resort areas such as Wailea/Makena where there were 11 sales for a median $815,000 last month.
Maui’s single-family home market was more mixed, with a 17 percent decrease in the number of sales to 65 last month from 78 a year earlier. The median price rose 7 percent to $550,000 from $513,750.
