Blaze damages Korean restaurant
Grease from a pot left unattended on a stove started a fire early Wednesday morning in a Ward Warehouse takeout restaurant, causing $2,000 worth of damage.
Security officials at the Kakaako shopping center contacted the Honolulu Fire Department at 1:52 a.m. The fire at Korean BBQ Express kiosk at the Ewa end of the shopping center was brought under control at 2:03 a.m.
Three other restaurants in the kiosk were not affected.
Teenagers arrested in Kalihi robbery
Police arrested two boys, ages 14 and 16, on suspicion of first-degree and second-degree robbery Tuesday in Kalihi.
The boys are accused of robbing three 13-year-old boys at 1:45 p.m. Feb. 13.
Police said the victims were walking home when three teens approached them and allegedly demanded money. One of the suspects was armed with a dangerous instrument.
The two were arrested Tuesday morning and released later. One of the suspects is unknown.

Motorcyclist killed in crash
A man was killed Wednesday morning in a motorcycle crash in Wailuku, Maui police said.
Police identified the victim as Zaul Acevedo Gonzales, 40, of Wailuku.
Police said Acevedo Gonzales was driving a 2009 Yamaha R1 motorcycle north on Kauna Lipo Street about 10:20 a.m. when it crossed the centerline and hit a curb. Acevedo Gonzales and the motorcycle came to rest in the back yard of a home on Maka Hou Loop.
Acevedo Gonzales was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. He was wearing a helmet.
It was Maui’s third traffic fatality of the year, the same number as at this time last year.
