Jumper died of injuries after missing pool
The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office said a 20-year-old East Honolulu man who attempted to jump Sunday into a pool from the fourth floor of a University area apartment building and missed died Monday.
The Medical Examiner’s Office identified him as Quinn Kunitomo. He died of head injuries due to a fall, and his death has been ruled an accident.
Police said he jumped at about 2:40 a.m. at the Kalo Terrace Student Suites a block from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in front of two witnesses and landed on the pool deck.
Suspect is sought in Waikiki robbery
Police were looking for a man who reportedly robbed a woman at gunpoint early Tuesday morning in Waikiki.
The stickup occurred just after 1 a.m.
The 22-year-old woman said she was walking in Waikiki when the suspect approached her, police said.
Police did not release a description of the robber or what was taken.
Man accused of assault and violating order
Police arrested a 27-year-old Salt Lake man after he allegedly violated a 24-hour restraining order and assaulted his wife for the second time in a week.
The suspect was initially arrested Thursday on suspicion of abusing his wife and was issued a warning requiring him to stay away from his wife for at least 24 hours.
According to the police, the man returned home after being released on bail and again assaulted his wife.
The suspect turned himself in to police Monday afternoon and was arrested on suspicion on second-degree assault and violating a 24-hour warning.
Homeless woman held in Kailua burglary
Police arrested a 19-year-old homeless woman who allegedly burglarized a Kailua house March 14.
Police said the woman allegedly entered the home illegally and then took property from the home.
After identifying and locating her Monday, police arrested her on suspicion of first-degree burglary, six counts of unauthorized possession of personal information and one count of second-degree theft.
