UH baseball: Hawaii takes down Wichita State again
Conner George tied a career-high with three hits and drove in three runs for the second consecutive game to lead Hawaii to a 7-3 win over Wichita State on Thursday night at Les Murakami Stadium.
Kaeo Aliviado went 3-for-3 with a double and two runs for the Rainbows (4-15), who have scored more in two games against Wichita State (11-10) than they had in their previous two home series’ combined.
Marc Flores went 3-for-4 with two RBI doubles and Trevor Podratz singled twice and drove in a run in support of Rainbow starter Corey MacDonald, who evened his record at 2-2 for the season.
MacDonald threw 104 pitches in 6 2/3 innings and set a career-high with seven strikeouts.
Hawaii has won three straight after losing 15 of its first 16 games and is 8-2 in its last 10 games against Wichita State.
