Trunk show brings Neapolitan tailoring
Leather Soul Downtown has teamed up with Hong Kong haberdashery TheArmoury to bring made-to-measure tailoring by Orazio Luciano of Naples, Italy, to Honolulu.
The clothiers will host a trunk show Tuesday to introduce the fine Neapolitan tailoring, with unpadded shoulder construction and sweeping lines that are lighter to wear than their English and American counterparts, according to Leather Soul owner Tom Park.
Men can be fitted for jackets and trousers, choosing from a collection of about 100 fabrics from mills in Italy and England. Made-to-measure jackets will start at $3,100, trousers at $700.
TheArmoury partners Ethan Newton and Alan See will be on hand, with Newton performing fittings that take about an hour. For an appointment, call 523-7700.
