St. Elizabeth’s Episcopal Church welcomes children and adults to sign up for participation in the Aloha Music Academy workshop. The event begins April 8 and culminates with a performance April 14 at 9 a.m. at the church in Kalihi.
The event offers a week of song, dance, instrument instruction, jamming, songwriting and performing for kids (ages 7-17)Monday through Thursday, 3 to 6 p.m., for $140; and adults Monday through Wednesday,7 to 9 p.m., for $110 or $40 per evening. Beginners and those of all skill levels may explore the banjo, fiddle, mandolin, guitar, bass and ukulele and learn traditional American, Hawaiian and folk music.
