COURTESY EDDY IWAMURA
FAMILY NAME: While visiting relatives in Hino, Tokyo, over New Year's, Eddy Iwamura of Aiea discovered that old apartment buildings are being torn down and new developments are going up, including single-family housing. She says Hino is a prime location near mass transit, and "how clever to give a Hawaiian name for the project, because the houses would probably be as expensive as ours here!"
