UHH tops Central Washington in softball
Hawaii-Hilo got two hits apiece from Kristina Victa and Rebecca Lee and a seven-hitter by Vanessa Salinas in a 3-2 win over Central Washington in the Tournament of Champions in Turlock, Calif., on Sunday.

Hawaii places 64th in golf tournament
Hawaii’s Scotty Yamashita tied for 64th at 10-over 223 and the Warriors placed 16th (47-over 899) in the ASU Thunderbird Invitational golf tournament on Sunday in Tempe, Ariz.
UNLV (9-under 843) won the team title, and Oregon State’s Nick Chianello was the medalist at 11-under 202.
2 to speak at today’s QB Club meeting
Punahou running coach and former high school state-champion athlete Todd Iacovelli is one of two guest speakers at today’s meeting of the Honolulu Quarterback Club.
John Clark, an author of eight books on Hawaii’s beaches, is also a guest speaker for the luncheon at the Maple Garden restaurant.
