Two men were able to escape unharmed when their truck caught fire Sunday as they were traveling up narrow Lai Road in Palolo Valley. Firefighters were called to the scene and were able to extinguish the fire before it engulfed the vehicle.

2 arrested in copper theft at Waikiki hotel
Police arrested two alleged copper thieves near the Hilton Waikiki Prince Kuhio Hotel early Sunday morning.
A hotel security guard told police he saw the pair, a 27-year-old woman and 24-year-old man, taking pieces of copper tubing from a storage area Saturday at about 12:40 p.m.
Police said the pair fled but returned to the hotel at about 1:40 a.m. Sunday.
Police said they were identified and arrested on suspicion of theft.
