Chaminade takes 2 from UH-Hilo

Chaminade swept UH-Hilo in softball for the first time in program history on Sunday in Hilo with a 1-0 win in eight innings followed by a 5-4 win.

Rayna Strom-Okimoto won the first game for the Silverswords with a home run in the eighth inning, and Chaminade overcame a 4-0 deficit to take the second contest. Kori Berinobis and Aja Keyes each had two RBIs.

With the wins, Chaminade improves to 25-17 overall and 17-9 in PacWest play, while UH-Hilo drops to 35-17 and 21-7.
