Brig. Gen. Paul H. McGillicuddy, commander of the 380th Air Expeditionary Wing at Al Dhafra Air Base in the United Arab Emirates, has been selected to receive his second star and will be promoted to a senior position at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam.
His new job at Pacific Air Forces will be director of operations, plans and programs.
McGillicuddy was commissioned in 1984 after graduating from the Air Force Academy.
He has served as an instructor and evaluator pilot, flight commander and inspector general. He has commanded a fighter squadron, an air base wing and a reconnaissance wing. His staff duties include tours at headquarters, U.S. Air Forces in Europe; headquarters, Air Force; and with the Operations Directorate on the Joint Staff.
Before his current assignment, he was commander of the 9th Reconnaissance Wing at Beale Air Force Base, Calif.
