Motorcyclist, 24, dies in crash on H-3
A motorcyclist was killed Sunday in a crash in the eastbound lanes of the H-3 freeway near the Kamehameha Highway overpass in Kaneohe.
Paramedics pronounced a 24-year old man dead when they arrived at the accident scene at 12:48 p.m., Emergency Medical Services said.
EMS said the motorcyclist appeared to have struck the guardrail.
The lanes were closed during the police investigation until just after 3 p.m.
Man injured landing on rocks in pool
A 26-year-old man was seriously injured Sunday after he apparently jumped or fell into the Kalihi waterfall pool known as the "ice pond" and landed on rocks.
The incident happened at 8:24 a.m.
The man was transported in serious condition to a local hospital.
Assault with billiards cue leads to arrest
Police arrested a 22-year-old man who allegedly assaulted a 23-year-old Ala Moana man with a pool stick in a Waikiki bar early Saturday morning.
Police said the two men were arguing when the younger man allegedly hit the other with a pool cue and injured him at about 2:10 a.m.
Employees held the suspect and flagged down a police officer, who arrested him on suspicion of second-degree assault at Cabanas Sports Bar, 2330 Kuhio Ave.
