3 events set to lure you to Sephora
Sephora Ala Moana welcomes a trio of beauty events this weekend:
>> Benefit will host makeup artist Jose Rivera to introduce a kit created in collaboration with British designer Matthew Williamson, who merges bohemian glamour with Benefit’s 1970s roots. See Benefit’s summer products, noon to 6 p.m. Saturday.
>> Khoren Manouk will introduce the new products from Perricone MD, noon to 6 p.m. Sunday and Monday. Call 944-9797 to book a consultation with the skin specialist.
>> Sarah McNamara, founder of the skin-care line Miracle Skin Transformer, will meet with customers from 2 to 5 p.m. today.
Originally from New Zealand, McNamara worked her way through college at beauty counters, where she constantly heard women lament that they had to layer on product after product before they were satisfied with coverage. She kept that in mind as she rose up the ranks in the beauty industry, working for some of the largest brands, including Lancome, Elizabeth Arden and Coty.
Her line is noted for such products as the Miracle Skin Transformer Face SPF20, a five-in-one formula that works as a primer, hydrator, cover, “mattifier” and UV protector. Other products utilize New Zealand mud and manuka honey for their respective detox and healing properties.
McNamara will be at the Waikiki Sephora from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. Another event introducing the line — without McNamara — runs 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Pearlridge.
