The Colombian Naval Tall Ship ARC Gloria visits Honolulu

A Colombian naval ship is visiting Honolulu starting this weekend and will be open for public tours.The three-masted ARC Gloria arrived at Aloha Tower on Friday and is scheduled to stay through Tuesday.
The large sailing ship is a training vessel of the Colombian Naval School. It also serves as an ambassador of Colombia while abroad.
The Colombian navy is opening the vessel to public tours from 10 a.m. through 5 p.m. today, Sunday and Monday.
People of all ages are welcome to tour the ship, but visitors must wear comfortable clothing and footwear and be able to climb ladders.
The ARC Gloria, commissioned in 1968, is 212 feet long and 35 feet wide. It is a three-masted barque named after the wife of former Colombian Defense Minister Gen. Gabriel Reveiz Pizarro.
