Police asked for the public’s help in finding a man in his 30s who allegedly entered a woman’s Aala Street apartment Thursday through a sliding door and sexually assaulted her.
Police said the man is wanted for first-degree sexual assault.
The man is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall and 175 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was seen wearing a dark red shirt and khaki cargo pants.
Police are asking for any witnesses or anyone with information about this crime to call CrimeStoppers at 955-8300 or *CRIME on a cellphone.
Burglary suspect faces multiple charges
Hawaii County police charged a 24-year-old Hilo woman Thursday with eight property crimes, including three burglaries. Suzy Chun was arrested late Wednesday on an outstanding warrant.
Police found she was responsible for or involved in the break-ins of three homes during the first week of May in Panaewa Farm Lots, Upper Waiakea and Laupahoehoe.
Chun was charge with three counts of first-degree burglary, four counts of second-degree theft and one count of third-degree theft. Stolen items include jewelry, computer laptops and gaming systems with a combined value of more than $10,000. Her bail was set at $116,000.
Makaha woman held in attack on man
A 48-year-old Makaha woman is in custody after she allegedly cut a man with a shard of broken glass Thursday.
Police said the incident happened at 10 p.m. in Makaha. The 42-year-old man suffered minor injuries.
The suspect was arrested at her Makaha home on Farrington Highway on suspicion of second-degree assault.
Man charged in rock-throwing incident
Prosecutors charged a 67-year-old homeless man Thursday for allegedly throwing an object at a passing vehicle on Pali Highway in Nuuanu, injuring a passenger.
Bruce McCrosson was charged with first-degree criminal property damage, a Class B felony. His bail was set at $11,000.
Police said McCrosson allegedly threw the object at a moving vehicle at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday. Police said the windshield shattered as a result, and the glass fell onto a 17-year-old girl inside the vehicle, injuring her.
Police arrested McCrosson at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday on Nuuanu Avenue.
