Carlson, Yoshida to speak at QB Club

Elite runner Dr. Nate Carlson and actor/stuntman Joji Yoshida will be the guest speakers at the Honolulu Quarterback Club luncheon Monday at the Maple Garden restaurant.

Carlson’s athletic accomplishments most recently include three straight Great Aloha Run military first-place finishes (2011, 2012 and 2013) as well as an overall runner-up finish in 2012. Yoshida appeared in last year’s action movie "Battleship" and has a role in the upcoming film "Dallas Buyers Club," starring Matthew McConaughey and Jennifer Garner.

Lunch starts at 11:30 a.m., followed by the program at noon. The cost is $15. The public is invited.
