Runners to be aglow after August fun run

Grab your glow sticks and get ready to light up the night at the Glowtastic 5k Run. The glow-in-the-dark-themed run will be held at Aloha Stadium from 5 to 10 p.m. Aug. 23.

"Glowing surprises" — some which can be messy —will greet runners every kilometer. Though the official start time is 7 p.m., the fun run is not timed.

The "Glowing After Party," featuring music and black lights, will follow.

Registration fee is $50; $55 starting Aug. 1; and $65 the week of the race. Kids under 6 run for free and strollers are welcome. Visit www.glowrunglow5k.com or email glowrunglow@gmail.com.
