The trial of a 66-year-old Kalihi man charged with trying to kill a man with a knife near a bus stop last year is scheduled to begin the week of Sept. 30.
Louis A. Bradley entered a plea of not guilty at his Circuit Court arraignment Monday morning. He is being held at Oahu Community Correctional Center in lieu of $100,000 bail.
Bradley was charged with second-degree attempted murder after he attacked a 34-year-old man who was sitting near a bus stop near Mayor Wright Homes on April 22, 2012. Bradley allegedly hit his victim on the head with a wooden board.
The victim fought back until Bradley pulled out a knife and allegedly stabbed the younger man in the chest before fleeing.
Bradley turned himself in at Honolulu’s main police station May 17, 2012.
It was unclear why Bradley was arraigned more than a year after he was charged.
