17-year-old in serious condition after being stabbed in Kakaako
Honolulu police are investigating a stabbing that occurred in Kakaako on Friday night.
A 17-year-old boy was stabbed in the back twice at about 11:17 p.m. near the Children’s Discovery Center in Kakaako, according to an Emergency Medical Services report.
Paramedics took the teen to a trauma center in serious condition, EMS said. No other details were released.
Suspect arrested in Waianae in connection with car robbery
Officers arrested one of two suspects in a Kaneohe robbery early Saturday morning.
Police said the suspect, 45, and another man used a firearm on Wednesday to take a 26-year-old man’s vehicle.
The man, of no local address, was arrested around 1 a.m. on Laiku Street in Waianae on suspicion of first-degree robbery and several firearms violations, according to police records.
Police are still searching for the other suspect.
Officer catches man riding stolen moped in Hawaii Kai
Police arrested a 22-year-old Hawaii Kai man early Saturday morning for allegedly riding a stolen moped, police said.
Police said a patrol officer stopped the suspect around 12:50 a.m. in Hawaii Kai because the moped had a defective light. The officer discovered the vehicle was reported stolen on Jan. 3, and arrested the man on suspicion of operating a stolen vehicle.
