Next week’s guardrail repairs will close highway at night
Kalanianaole Highway will be closed nightly from Monday until the morning of Aug. 16 in both directions from Lunalilo Home Road to Kealahou Street for guardrail repairs, state transportation officials advise.
The closure will take place from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. each day.
Motorists are advised to allow for extra travel time there and to use Lunalilo Home Road, Hawaii Kai Drive and Kealahou Street as a detour during those hours, according to the state Department of Transportation.
