Son Alexander on Monday entered a plea of not guilty in District Court to a charge of second-degree attempted murder. He is accused of chasing and stabbing a 17-year-old boy in Kakaako.

A 30-year-old Palolo man accused of stabbing a 17-year-old boy in Kakaako yelled death threats at him, according to the victim’s aunt, a witness.
Son Alexander pleaded innocent Monday in District Court to a charge of second-degree attempted murder in the Aug. 5 incident. His bail was set at $75,000.
A preliminary hearing in Alexander’s case was held in District Court Wednesday.
He was charged Aug. 16 with attempting to kill the teen during an argument.
According to a police affidavit, the victim’s aunt told police that she saw Alexander carrying a 6-inch steak knife while chasing her nephew at Ohe and Olomehani streets, between Kakaako Waterfront Park and Kewalo Basin, at 11:15 p.m. Aug. 5.
She said he was yelling: “I going to stab you. I going to kill you.”
Alexander then stabbed the victim on the right side of his body, she said. But the boy was able to get up and tried to escape.
The woman said Alexander then repeated: “I going to kill you.”
Alexander tackled the victim and stabbed him on the left side, she told police.
The victim told police that Alexander had been drinking and became angry when he tried to talk to him. He said Alexander threatened to beat him up and stab him.
