Man nearly drowns at Magic Island
An 85-year-old man who was swimming at Magic Island nearly drowned Monday afternoon, a spokeswo-
man for Emergency Medical Services said.
Lifeguards pulled him from the ocean and administered CPR before paramedics took over treatment and took him to a hospital, the spokeswoman said.
Two men sought in theft of moped
Police are looking for two men who allegedly robbed a man of his moped in Kaimuki on Monday.
According to police, the moped driver, 19, was on his vehicle at about 3:40 p.m. when two men pulled up. One man got out of the vehicle, approached the moped and brandished a weapon before taking the moped.
He rode off on the moped, and the other man drove off. Neither suspect has been identified.
Maui toddler injured in fall from window
Maui police are investigating the fall of a 16-month-old boy from the second-floor window of a Makawao home.
The infant was taken to Maui Memorial Medical Center and later flown to Honolulu for further treatment.
The incident occurred at about 10:15 a.m. Saturday.
