Roberto Coin’s “Pois Moi” collection is featured at Couture Jeweller.

Jewelry makes a point

Couture Jeweller will host a trunk show from noon to 5 p.m. Friday to introduce Roberto Coin’s latest collection, "Pois Moi (Point)."

Suzanne Napoleon, vice president of Roberto Coin USA, will be in the store to talk about the collection, which incorporates vintage and modern design with an inverted point pattern repeated on the exterior of the pieces, giving the collection its name.

Also incorporated throughout the collection of high-polished bangles, rings, earrings, pendants and necklaces is a soft square shape visible at the profile of each piece, recalling the silhouette of 1950s television sets.

Pieces are available in 18-karat yellow, rose and white gold.

Couture Jeweller is at 909 Kapiolani Blvd. Call 591-8080.

Hilo Hattie’s fights hunger

Hilo Hattie has partnered with the Hawaii Food Bank in September, Hunger Action Month, to help feed Hawaii’s hungry.

Orange is the color of hunger awareness, so the apparel company will donate a portion of the proceeds from selected orange-colored aloha shirts sold during the month.

Hilo Hattie’s flagship store is at 700 N. Nimitz Highway. Call 535-6500 for more information.

Create your own pair of custom Manolo Blahniks at the Blahnik BB Boutique at Neiman Marcus through Sunday. Shoe afficionados can choose from 20 colors in various materials and different heel heights. Shipping will take approximately six weeks from when the order is placed.

Also at the store, the fall edition of "The Beauty Event" will continue through Sept. 22, with a first peek at the new season’s cosmetics and fragrances, including Dior’s Diorshow Maximizer lash primer and Amore Pacific’s CC Compact, delivering SPF 50 coverage.

Those who spend $125 or more on cosmetics and fragrances will receive a leopard-print tote and beauty samples (one per person). Several brands are also offering their own gift with purchase.

Shops on the move

British luxury brand Jimmy Choo has a new location at Ala Moana Center in the Ewa Wing across from Hermès.

The 1,440-square-foot space, designed to evoke the glamour of a 1940s boutique, provides a larger collection of Jimmy Choo women’s shoes, handbags, small leather goods, soft accessories, belts, sunglasses and fragrances.

Among the collections available at the boutique are "Choo 24:7," Pre-Fall 2013, Autumn/Winter ’13 and the men’s collection, available only in select Jimmy Choo boutiques.

Oakley also has moved to a new location in the Ewa Wing at Ala Moana Center, across from Lego.

The new store highlights the company’s custom eyewear and features an in-store optical center, Oakley’s first in Hawaii, with digital sizing.
