HPU stuns No. 4 BYUH in 5 sets
@Body text1:Hawaii Pacific dropped No.-4-ranked Brigham Young-Hawaii from the unbeaten ranks Thursday with a 26-24, 16-25, 18-25, 28-26, 15-13 victory in Pacific West Conference women’s volleyball play at the St. Andrew’s Priory gym.
HPU is 9-2 overall, 3-0 in the PacWest. The Seasiders fell to 7-1 and 3-1.
» Outside hitter Kim Spring, a sophomore from Switzerland, had 19 kills as Chaminade (4-4, 1-2) notched its first PacWest win with a 23-25, 25-23, 25-18, 26-24 victory over host Hawaii Hilo (5-3, 0-3).
BYU-Hawaii men, women lose in soccer
Oktay Bulut and Trenton Titus scored to lead Azusa Pacific (6-2 overall, 3-0 PacWest) to a 2-1 victory over Brigham Young-Hawaii in a men’s soccer match in Azusa, Calif.
Richard Harrison scored in the 89th minute for the Seasiders (2-2-1, 0-1).
