3-year-old pulled from water dies

A 3-year-old girl died Monday after being pulled from waters off Sand Island State Park.

The girl was pulled from the water at about 4 p.m. Paramedics transported her in extremely critical condition to an area hospital, where she later died.

Body in harbor ID’d as Waialua resident

A 45-year-old surfer whose body was found Sunday night in Haleiwa Boat Harbor was identified as Jonathan Collins of Waialua.

The city Emergency Medical Services Division said the body was found at 10:43 p.m. The man was reported missing while surfing.

2 suspects arrested in robbery of store

A 29-year-old Waianae man was arrested after allegedly robbing a store in the Waianae area Sunday morning.

Police said the man had an accomplice — a 27-year-old Waianae woman — who was driving a stolen car.

The man was arrested on suspicion of second-degree robbery. The woman was being held on suspicion of car theft.

2 are questioned in alleged stabbing

Police have opened an attempted-murder investigation after a 23-year-old Mililani woman said she was stabbed Sunday in Mililani Mauka.

The incident occurred at about noon Sunday, and a 20-year-old woman and a man were questioned. There was no word about the victim’s wounds or condition.
