"Mr. Pip": A teacher (Hugh Laurie) on the war-torn island of Bougainville helps a young girl survive the violence of her daily life through the power of imagination. "Blue Hawaii": The 1961 musical, shot on location at the Coco Palms Resort on Kauai, was the first of three Elvis Presley movies filmed in the islands. His character, just out of the Army, goes to work as a guide for the tourist agency where Maile, his French-Hawaiian girlfriend, is employed. "Lion Ark": A vivid behind-the-scenes account of an ambitious effort to rescue 25 lions from illegal traveling circuses across Bolivia. "CSI" actress Jorja Fox, who appears in the documentary, will introduce the film and participate in a post-screening Q&A today with the filmmakers. "Ilo Ilo": During the financial crisis of 1997, a Singapore family hires Teresa (Angeli Bayani), a timid Filipina, to care for their young son. The boy’s attachment to his nanny sparks his mother’s icy jealousy. Teresa, meanwhile, has left her own infant son back home in the hope of finding better-paying work.
