» The Play: QB Caleb Herring throws a 10-yard touchdown pass to WR Anthony Williams.
» Impact: Setting the tone after intermission with the first of 23 unanswered points, UNLV takes the lead it will not relinquish until less than 2 minutes are left in the game.

2. TJ Makes A Play

» The Play: LB TJ Taimatuia stops Herring for a 3-yard loss.
» Impact: UNLV is forced to punt and a late Hawaii rally that started with a 15-yard touchdown run by RB Steven Lakalaka and a 48-yard pass from QB Sean Schroeder to WR Billy Ray Stutzmann continues.
» UNLV coach Bobby Hauck: "They did to us what they did a little bit to Fresno State in the fourth quarter."
3. Gant Delivers

» The Play: Schroeder throws a long sideline pass to WR Chris Gant between two defenders. Gant makes the catch and runs between the defenders to the end zone.
» Impact: Hawaii caps a rally in which its offense scores 20 unanswered points in 6:27 of game time. Gant scores two receiving TDs for the second game in a row. Schroeder passes for 325 yards with four TDs and no interceptions.
» Schroeder: "I tried to rip it into the hole. The DB did a nice job of drifting off, and Chris made a nice play. He took it from there."
4. Face Mask
» Situation: Hawaii 37, UNLV 36, 0:28 remaining, fourth quarter, UNLV ball, third and 10 at own 45
» The Play: Herring throws a short pass to WR Marcus Sullivan. Hawaii DB Trayvon Henderson goes for the ball, which is thrown high, but instead gets a piece of Sullivan’s face mask.
» Impact: A 15-yard penalty is added on to a 3-yard gain, and instead of fourth and 7, UNLV has first and 10 at the Hawaii 37, nearing field-goal range.
» Henderson: "I was kind of going for the ball. As I was going for it, I started to drift away, and my hands caught his face mask."
5. Kicked
» Situation: Hawaii 37, UNLV 36, 0:05 remaining, fourth quarter, UNLV ball, first and 10 at Hawaii 26
» The Play: K Nolan Kohorst makes a 44-yard field goal.
» Impact: On the final play of the game UNLV gets its fourth win in a row and Hawaii falls to 0-6. It is the fourth field goal of the game and first game-winner of Kohorst’s college career.
» Kohorst: "Actually, I’d rather have our team go out and put 20 up and have us win like that. But I’m always willing to take that kick."
