HART gets go-ahead to spend $1.56B on rail structures, land

Fiscal year 2015 : Officials of the Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation now have the spending power to sign more than a billion dollars in construction contracts for that year, the largest capital budget approved for any year of the project.

HART said it's recruiting for a full-time federal grants manager, who will make sure dollars are recorded in a timely manner. It was recently found that finance officials failed to record $83.8 million in federal funds received for the project.
