HOLLYWOOD ANIMATORS TO GIVE TALK AT KCC
Two of Hollywood’s leading female animators will discuss their careers as well as the creative process during a free talk from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Kapiolani Community College.
Kathy Altieri, who has worked as a production designer, art director and painter, and Lorna Cook, who has worked on two Oscar-winning animated features, will present “The Alchemy of the Creative Process: Secrets of the Masters” as part of Kapiolani’s New Media Arts animation program.
The talk will be in Ohia Room 118.
Altieri has been in animation for more than 30 years, including the recent DreamWorks Animation Oscar-nominated “How to Train Your Dragon.” She also worked on “Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron,” which Cook co-directed.
