Man arrested after Puna stabbing death
Hawaii County police arrested a 34-year-old man Tuesday after a 32-year-old man was stabbed multiple times and died in Puna.
Officers arrived at Pilo Street in the Eden Roc subdivision at 3:20 p.m. Tuesday and found the victim unresponsive with multiple stab wounds.
Fire officials said the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The older man was arrested on suspicion of second-degree attempted murder and taken to the Hilo police cellblock, but was later taken to Hilo Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Coast Guard seeks owner of kayak
The Coast Guard is seeking help in identifying the owner of a kayak found adrift Tuesday about one mile south of La Perouse Bay, Maui.
The two-person Otter kayak is yellow with Old Town markings. The passenger vessel Maui Magic notified the Coast Guard about the kayak at about 11 a.m.
A boat crew from Maui and helicopter air crew from Air Station Barbers Point are searching for a possible kayaker in distress.
Anyone able to identify the kayak is asked to contact the Coast Guard in Honolulu at 842-2600.
