Annual Island Heritage sale to benefit CHANGE Fund
Island Heritage is hosting its 13th annual Holiday Warehouse Sale from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, at the Mill Town Center, 94-411 Koaki St. in Waipahu.
There will be discounts of up to 75 percent on gift and home decor items, T-shirts, children’s books, gift wrap and Christmas products.
Proceeds will benefit CHANGE (Changing Hawai’i and Nurturing Growth Through Education).

The CHANGE Fund offers educational opportunities for economically disadvantaged youth in Hawaii. Its programs include educational assistance, scholarships and tutoring.
Pinch of Salt hosting Kakaako shopping day
Get to know Kakaako during "A Pinch of Salt for the Holidays," an upscale shopping experience from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, featuring unique local pop-up shops, designers, drinks, food and DIY workshops at A Pinch of Salt warehouse, 683 Auahi St., behind Starbucks.
The free event will feature Sig Zane Designs’ holiday pop-up shop and such local brands as Gillia, Organik, Ecolicious, Indigo Elixirs, Flutter Lashes, Basique Threads and Island Sea Salts.
Free parking will be available in the former CompUSA parking lot and at 555 South St. DIY workshops:

Black Wednesday event starts Chelsea closedown
Chelsea is closing its 26-year-old Ward Warehouse store in January.
Owner Naomi Loewe, who is retiring, will kick off her merchandise clearance next week with a Black Wednesday sale of clothing, jewelry, home decor items and display fixtures, with discounts of up to 80 percent. Store hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Valet and gift wrapping offered at Kahala Mall
Kahala Mall is making parking a little easier for holiday shoppers with a $6 weekend valet service outside of the Macy’s men’s store on the corner of Waialae and Kilauea avenues during mall hours. The service will be offered daily from Dec. 14 through 24.
Free gift wrapping will be added on weekends Nov. 30 through Dec. 8, then offered daily during regular mall hours Dec. 14-24 at a Gift Wrap Center between Macy’s and Champs Sports. To use the service, show same-day receipts from the mall.
The gift wrapping is free for the first item, with a minimal charge for each additional piece.
Wrapping is by Kalani, Saint Louis and McKinley high schools’ Project Graduation volunteers, as well as the Honolulu Community College Fashion Society and Drill Team Hawaii, with proceeds going to those groups.

Enter ornaments in drawing contest
Kids, it’s time to help us trim our pages with your holiday creations. Design an ornament for our “Keiki Kalikimaka” contest and you’ll have a chance at prizes of $100, $75 and $50 cash. A daily finalist will be printed on the cover of this section beginning Nov. 29. On Christmas Eve we’ll run all 25 finalists and announce the randomly chosen winners.
The contest is open to kids age 12 and younger. All entries must be between 5 and 10 inches wide. No 3-D entries (don’t glue on any objects). We must receive your drawing in the mail — no faxes or emails — by Dec. 18. Ornaments cannot be returned.
How bright are your lights?
Through December the Today section’s popular “Garden Party” feature will spotlight yards decked out for the holidays. We’ll also be putting together our annual Holiday Lights list.
