NATIONAL MUSEUM OF THE PACIFIC WAR
The Japanese midget sub HA-19 that came to shore at Bellows on the morning after the Pearl Harbor attack, toured the country in a campaign to sell war bonds. The sub appeared in front of the Nimitz Hotel in 1943. Today the sub is exhibited in the National Museum of the Pacific War.

The Admiral Nimitz Museum, which houses personal items from the admiral’s life, is billed as the Gateway to the National Museum of the Pacific War. The oldest part of the building is formerly the Nimitz Hotel.
