Stabbed man injured, suspect arrested
Police opened an attempted murder investigation after a 42-year-old man allegedly stabbed another man late Saturday near Kapiolani Boulevard and Kaaha Street.
A man in his 40s or 50s was stabbed in the 11 p.m. incident and taken to a hospital in serious condition, Emergency Medical Services said. An EMS spokeswoman said she did not know where the man was stabbed or how many times.
Police arrested the suspect at his home on Kapiolani Boulevard at about 11:30 p.m. on suspicion of second-degree attempted murder, according to police documents.
Boy critically injured in dirt bike crash
A 13-year-old boy was critically injured Sunday in a dirt bike crash in Kahuku.
According to an Emergency Medical Services report, the boy, who was wearing full protective gear, was injured in a hard landing. The incident occurred around 11:40 a.m.
The boy was transported by paramedics to a local trauma center.
Robbers wield weapons, witnesses say
Two men robbed another man at gunpoint near the airport Saturday, police said.
A 66-year-old man told police that two masked men entered his workplace at about 12:30 p.m. Saturday and robbed him at gunpoint. The men ran from the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.
Also Saturday, according to police records, a woman entered a Nanakuli store just before 3 a.m., brandished a "dangerous weapon," demanded cash and fled.
And on Sunday a 23-year-old woman and 32-year-old man told police that a man entered their Ewa Village home without permission just after 1 a.m. and threatened them with a dangerous instrument. Police located a 26-year-old suspect, from Ewa Beach, in a nearby parking lot about 40 minutes later and arrested him on suspicion of first-degree burglary and first-degree terroristic threatening.
