    Robert Lee, 92, speaks to USS Arizona Memorial visitors about his memories of the Dec. 7, 1941, attack on Pearl Harbor. His talk features images from the attack, as well as a picture of himself as a 20-year-old civilian in 1941. Among Lee’s most vivid memories includes firing at enemy aircraft with a .22-caliber rifle.

    Robert Lee visits the pier at the Pacific Fleet commander’s boathouse at Pearl Harbor, from which his father and sister witnessed the explosions of the Pearl Harbor attack. The family lived next to the structure. Bodies were later laid out on the pier for identification, and wooden coffins were made there.
