2 injured in head-on crash on H-2 freeway
Two men were seriously injured in a head-on vehicle crash Monday on the H-2 freeway near Ka Uka Boulevard.
Emergency Medical Services said the 40-year-old male driver of a vehicle and his 35-year-old passenger were heading north on H-2 when the vehicle jumped the embankment and struck a car heading in the opposite direction head-on at about 2:45 p.m.
EMS paramedics transported the two men in serious but stable condition to a hospital. No one else was injured in the crash, EMS said.
Teenager arrested in Ewa Beach burglary
Honolulu police credit an alert neighbor with helping arrest a 17-year-old boy suspected in the burglary of an Ewa Beach home. Police said the neighbor called police and detained the boy after seeing the suspect and another boy take items from a garage at about 5 p.m. Sunday. The other suspect fled the scene.
