Chaminade women get OT hoops win

Lilia Maio scored 19 points and Kristle Henry added 12 as Chaminade opened up conference women’s basketball play with a 73-69 overtime win over Hawaii Hilo (1-2, 0-1) on Monday at McCabe Gym.

Chaminade (1-4, 1-0) outscored the Vulcans by seven in the final 20 minutes to force overtime.

>> Kuany Kuany scored 23 points with 13 rebounds, both career highs, to lead the Chaminade men (3-3, 1-0) past Hawaii Hilo 78-68 at McCabe Gym.

Joey Rodriguez scored 16 points for the Vulcans (3-5, 0-2).
