>> A first-level Hono lulu firefighter who has just made it past recruit status now makes an annual base salary of $48,324, not including fringe benefits, and would make $57,142 by the end of the new contract. A Page A19 article Friday said a "beginning" firefighter makes a base salary of $61,000 and would make $72,131 at the end of the contract.
