Raw. Relevant. Actionable.
That’s how Ka‘ala Souza, a Christian evangelist and Oahu business consultant, describes "The 3-Minute Message," a video he offers daily as a means to spreading the gospel.
"It’s about meeting people where they’re at and responding to their needs in a different way than the traditional weekend church model," Souza said in a news release. The traditional model doesn’t work well for a lot of people, especially during busy workweeks, he said. Souza’s devotional is available at 3minutemessage.com, and on Facebook and YouTube.
Souza said his video is for people "in a rush, on the go, and with the constant desire or need to stay connected to smartphones and electronics. The 3-Minute Message aims to be: ‘1. Raw — the stripped-down truth from the Bible; 2. Relevant — what that truth means to your life in today’s busy world; (and) 3. Actionable — Apply the messages to your life and get results.’"
The video addresses topics ranging from balancing work and well-being to setting priorities and goals.
The3-Minute Message, Souza said, is a nondenominational, para-church project that began "more as an outlet for me to teach the Bible to whomever would watch."
On Facebook, its fan base has grown to 45,000. "We had no idea it would grow this way but are thrilled it has," he said.
